NURSING RESEARCH OPPORTUNITY
We are pleased to announce that one of our members, Dr. Carolyn Harmon Still, Asst. Professor at the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, CWRU, has been awarded an NIH grant to test a method of reducing stroke risk among African American men who are at high risk. The educational intervention will consist of 1 individual session with each participant and 5 group sessions conducted over 8 weeks, all delivered virtually, on-line.
Dr. Still is accepting applications for three “Nurse Educators” with experience in talking with and teaching patients about health practices. Formal teaching experience is not required. The positions are part-time, with flexible hours, up to 8 hours/week.
